What is the Erasmus+ Program?

The Erasmus+ Program is a funding initiative by the European Union that supports students, academic, and administrative staff who wish to study, teach, undertake internships, or volunteer in Europe. Participants in the program can gain experience in educational institutions or businesses across different European countries.

Running from 2021 to 2027, Erasmus+ is the EU's grant program encompassing education, youth, and sports. Its aims include supporting the integration of European youth into education and the labor market, increasing understanding and awareness of European culture and society, promoting international cooperation and mobility, and contributing to the EU's strategic goals.

The Erasmus+ Program seeks to offer more opportunities by providing various supports during participants' experiences abroad. These supports include financial aid for travel and accommodation costs, language courses, insurance, visa expenses, and monthly allowances.

Mission

The mission of the Erasmus Coordination Office at Yüksek İhtisas University is to enhance the recognition of our country and university internationally through the Erasmus+ exchange program. This involves supporting the integration process of incoming students, academic, and administrative staff, coordinating their activities, adding an international dimension to educational and teaching activities through mutual information sharing and teaching mobility, participating in international projects within the program framework, and developing permanent and sustainable collaborations with higher education institutions abroad.

The vision of the Erasmus Coordination Office at Yüksek İhtisas University is to lead our university to achieve its internationalization goals with its students, academic, and administrative staff. This includes being highly engaged in EU education programs, staying abreast of innovations in education, teaching, and research activities, contributing to the production of knowledge at an international level, benefiting from diverse perspectives provided by cultural diversity, and focusing on continuous improvement with a commitment to quality.
